IRKUT corporation design and produce planes and render aftersales services. Today IRKUT produce planes under name “Su” and amphibious aircrafts.

About the project:

Client wanted to decide how to restructure its Cutting and Stamping Center, wether it is neccessary to allocate it and to give it opportunity to work with external clients or to sell it and to purchase these services from outsourcing companies.

During the project following tasks were performed: 

  • Analysis of Cutting and Stamping Center capabilities:
Analysis of production facilities
Analysis of production economy (costs, level of equipment load)
  • Market analysis of potential products to produce in Cutting and Stamping Center. More 20 types of nonspecialized products were studied.
  • Analysis of international and Russian market of aviacomponents, estimation of Company potential on these markets.
  • Analysis of business-models of foreign companies-analogues
  • Analysis of alternative suppliers market
  • Analysis of alternative variants of Cutting and Stamping Center organization.
 
Then there were elaborated the most effective alternatives of Center organization with view of strategic aims of the company. Also there were elaborated the main stages of plan implementation and key principles of management system. The results of the work could assist the company’s management to make decision what organization of Center is the most effective.
